Application Week: September 1-5
You can apply for organizations via the RecWeek website by visiting the page of the organization you are interested in. Application period will be from September 1-5!
Joining an organization is completely optional! But we highly recommend that you try out an organization or two--or more! Not only can you build meaningful connections with your fellow Ateneans, but you can also work on your personal advocacies and learn new skills.
Yes, you can definitely apply for more than one org during RecWeek. If you feel like you can handle multiple involvements and roles, then go for it! Org life involves knowing how much responsibility can you take and your priorities as a student.
You may see the complete list of organizations in the Organizations tab of the website.
Each organization has different fees and some do not require it at all. You can see the fees for each org on their respective page.
Payment methods and instructions can be found on the Application Forms of each org.
Clusters are groups of organizations that share the same advocacies, thrusts, and areas of focus.
There are 9 organization clusters under COA-M, plus the Confederation of Publications and the Student Arms and Groups. In total you can find 11 Clusters in COA RecWeek!
As for LIONS, the sector houses 5 organization clusters, ready to be explored at LIONS RecWeek!
COA-M, LIONS, and the organizations have lots of events stored for you! Get to know more about the events that will happen in this year’s RecWeek in the List of Activities.
We are committed to maintaining RecWeek as a safe and vibrant space for everyone to enjoy and participate in. An onsite and online helpdesk will be deployed throughout the duration of RecWeek to receive concerns, questions, and reports from the organizations and participants.
If you experience any inappropriate behavior and/or incident, please do not hesitate to forward them to our Online Helpdesk (tinyurl.com/RW25-OnlineHelpdesk) or the Helpdesk Booth for us to take immediate action. For a quicker avenue of communication, you may also reach out through the COA RecWeek Page.
Accreditation refers to the SOAR process in which organizations are officially recognized by the Ateneo. Accredited organizations are under the Council of Organizations of the Ateneo - Manila (COA-M) and independent organizations are under the League of Independent Organizations (LIONS.) Independent organizations refer to those that have not gone through the accreditation process with LIONS serving as a safe space for their growth and development towards reaching their full potential.
Yes! Over the years, LIONS has gradually gained increased support, being formalized as an organizational body in 2017 and receiving sectoral representation in the Central Assembly, the constitutional and official deliberating body and legislative arm of the Sanggunian, in 2019.
There are certain limitations present, but at the end of the day, LIONS organizations are supported as they are composed of and passionately led by Atenean students.
