LAHi is Ateneo's premier organization dedicated to the promotion of the study and appreciation of marginalised histories, especially from the Philippines. We keep history alive through our engaging activities with the university community.
Advocacies
We believe in uplifting socially-relevant and marginalised histories to understand our present and build a better world.
Core Competencies
Our members are engaged, responsible historians and cultural advocates with various skills in research, design, and project planning.
TALAKAYANG LAHi
These are talks and roundtables, especially about oft-forgotten and subaltern histories. Past topics have included labour history and comfort women!
PELIKULAHI
These are screenings and discussions of historical films and their context. LAHi has screened films like Sister Stella L and Liway for People Power.
LAHi 4 ALL
These are activities geared toward the development of members as historians and community members, like field trips, salu-salos, and archive tours!
Ino Sabino
LAHi gave me the community to survive college. While most of my experiences were online, LaHi helped build excitement for onsite activities such as RecWeek (the guillotine), talks, and field trips!
Elise Deslate
The Org has taught me more than just the Who, What, and Where in history, but also exposed me to more of Philippine history! It was wonderful how I was also able to make a lot of friends as well!
