WriterSkill

WriterSkill is the premiere freelance writing organization of ADMU, a home for writing enthusiasts of diverse backgrounds and interests. Guided by our motto of “Excellence in Progress”, we foster responsible and caring authors in different genres.

Advocacies

WriterSkill values openness, passion, and community. We believe writing is not meant to be a solitary act or a linear process.

Core Competencies

WriterSkill specializes in helping members develop their craft, appreciate different facets of writing, and connect with their fellow writers.
Workshops
A semestral event where participants are provided a facilitated space to offer constructive feedback on each other’s written works.
WriterSprint
A timed writing session followed by a brief discussion, giving members a time and place to make quick progress on their works alongside other writers.
Backdraft
A year-end event, commemorating progress and growth, where members read their drafts, throw them into a bonfire, and bid farewell to senior members.
Laura Mendoza
Meeting Ricky Lee and Dean Francis Alfar at an event as a freshie. Being Exrels VP as a sophomore. Running for Org President as a junior. WriterSkill has made me a better writer and student leader.
Anika Lamboso
Very open/welcoming community, kind people to hold fun/insightful conversations with. Build on old skills/develop new skills! A learning environment that’s nurturing with no shame in asking questions.

REGIstration process

1. Submit your application at https://tinyurl.com/WSAppForm2526, and wait for entry to the Facebook Group.
2. Attend the onsite or online General Assembly (GA).
3. [OPTIONAL] Sign-up for a department after the GA.
4. Accepted department applicants will be announced by the last week of September.
