It's a COA-M and LIONS RecWeek Crossover!
Recruitment Week or RecWeek is the largest annual recruitment event where organizations come together to showcase themselves and open applications for new and retuning members. RecWeek also serves as a celebration of the Ateneo's vibrant and diverse org community.

This year, COA-M and LIONS are in collaboration, making this year's RecWeek the biggest RecWeek ever! It will be held from August 27 - 30.
At Ateneo de Manila University, two prominent entities, COA-M and LIONS, stand as vibrant pillars within the student community. They embody the essence of unity, diversity, and shared purpose. Each holds its own significance, serving as a platform for students to engage, learn, and make a positive impact.
Council of Organizations of the Ateneo-Manila
(COA-M)
COA-M is the sole, autonomous, confederation of the 53 accredited student orgs in the Ateneo. COA-M works to promote a vibrant and flourishing org life as the representative, administrative, formative, collaborative and unitive body for the orgs.
League of Independent Organizations (LIONS)
LIONS is the autonomous government and home to the 32 independent student organizations in the Ateneo. LIONS empowers organizations by promoting their purposes, representing them to the University, and fostering inclusivity, excellence, and integrity.
Accredited Organizations and Independent Organizations
Accredited Organizations
Accredited organizations are those that have successfully undergone the rigorous SOAR process, ensuring they meet set standards built from different memoranda, laws, and ordinances. Accreditation ensures that they adhere to legal mandates, including the Anti-Hazing Act, Quezon City Ordinances, and CHED memos, fostering a safe and enriching environment for all members. Accredited organizations are required to be registered through SOAR, a process that nurtures their growth and development, benefiting both their members and the broader Ateneo community. After successfully undergoing SOAR, these organizations are duly-accredited gaining perks such as having their own org room, DCB, and their own formator from OSA.
Independent Organizations
Independent organizations, hosted by LIONS, encompass a spectrum of groups, including emerging organizations, new initiatives, and established entities that are not yet accredited. Each independent organization brings its unique vision, advocacies, purpose, and potential to the table. LIONS provides a welcoming space for these organizations to grow, connect, and thrive within the Ateneo landscape. The journey of an organization begins in LIONS and through the support of the community, these organizations find valuable guidance and opportunities to make a meaningful impact on campus life.
